Catering

Adelaide Showground offers extensive public catering facilities including the popular Jubilee Cafe and the Atrium Food Court, a convenient place to take time out to meet friends and reflect on your show experience.

Facilities

Visitor facilities include a private parents room in the Atrium Food Court - ideal for feeding and changing baby, plus five automatic teller machines. Disabled visitors are also well-catered for. All areas of the venue are accessible by ramps and lifts, and wheelchair-friendly toilets and public telephones are located throughout the venue. Disabled parking bays are also available.

Extensive car parking and great public transport links make Adelaide Showground one of the most accessible venues in Adelaide. There are over 2,000 public car parks on-site which can be entered from Goodwood or Greenhill Roads - both major arterial thoroughfares. A small parking fee applies.

Lost children/property

Lost children and property must be brought to the show office. In the event of a lost child or property an announcement will be put out over the PA and the child/property will await collection by their guardians from the show office. No individual announcements will be made.

Driving

Adelaide Showground is bounded by Goodwood Road, Greenhill Road and Anzac Highway and is easily accessible from all three arterial roads. On-site parking is available for approximately 2,000 cars. A parking fee of $7.00 applies.

Bus

Departs Adelaide (Stop A2, North Terrace, Government House) every ten minutes. Bus numbers are 210, 211, 213, 215, 216, T217, 218 and T219 Monday to Friday and 210, 214, 216 and 218 on weekends and public holidays. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes to reach the Goodwood Road entrance (Bus stop 1 or 2). Refer to Adelaide Metro's timetable information .

Tram

Departs Adelaide from Victoria Square every 20 minutes, with the journey taking five-minutes to reach Goodwood Road Station, Stop 7. It is then a ten-minute walk from the tram stop to Adelaide Showground.

TRAIN

The following train lines go to via the Adelaide Showground Train Station: Belair, Seaford and Tonsley. Visit Adelaide Metro website for info and times.

Taxi

Adelaide Showground is a five-minute taxi ride from the Adelaide CBD and a 15-minute journey from Adelaide Airport. Taxi ranks are located at the Goodwood Road and Rose Terrace entrances during all events.

ALLAN GRAY AND JILLAROO JESS - TERRAIN TAMERS TV

Best known to her thousands of social media followers as “Jillaroo Jess”, Jess Edwards is one Aussie sheila with a story to tell! Jess has been kept busy lately with Terrain Tamer TV, working alongside the infamous Allan Gray. Terrain Tamer are set to release a series of mechanical videos which were released in 2017, that feature the unique duo that is Jess and Allan. READ MORE

RONNY DAHL

Ronny Dahl has made a name for himself for his honest product reviews, and now has almost 170,000 followers on his youtube channel. A 4 wheel driving enthusiast, Ronny loves the thrill and challenges of 4x4ing, as well as just getting out to see the beautiful and remote places our country offers which a 2wd can't get to. Ronny has plenty of stories and tips for getting out there, so have a chat with him at the Show!

EMMA GEORGE

Engel ambassador Emma George will be at the Show sharing her family’s camping and fishing experiences. Emma George is a former Olympian champion pole-vaulter and mum of three boys. Her family are passionate about being outdoors, whether it’s 4wdriving and camping, or boating and fishing. Emma runs her own social media “Love the Outdoors” and encourages families to get out and enjoy the outdoors.

ANDREW AND NICK - HOOK, LINE & SINKER

We are excited to announce popular television duo Nick Duigan and Andrew Hart from Hook, Line and Sinker will be special guests at this year’s Show. Well known for their light-hearted approach to their time on the water fishing together, they are looking forward to being back in WA. During their time at the boat show, they are particularly keen to relay their experiences with reviving old boats, which has become a real passion of theirs.

The Engel Bush Camp stage is the place to be at the Show to sit and relax, have a chat with the Show's special guests, hear some of their stories, and generally have a good time around the camp fire! The Engel Bush Camp Stage features, interviews with the Show’s special guests, product reviews, giveaways and more.

LAND ROVER TERRAPOD:

Check out the Land Rover Terrapod and the Twin Terrapod, which will be at the Show for the first time. This is an exciting way to experience the full Land Rover capability.

ARB RECOVERY DEMOS:

Recovery demonstrations, watch and learn recovery techniques and get valuable tips and information.

ISUZU TEAM D MAX:

Isuzu Team D Max stunt drivers are back - the best and most popular stunt driving team in Australia. Stand back and watch as the stunt drivers coast along on two wheels, and take on some mind-boggling inclines and descents – or get in for a free ride!

All activities are free once you are inside the Show, making it a valuable family day out!

Boat License Information Sessions and Testing will be held on Saturday 27th October and Sunday 28th October at 11am and 2pm.

Each information session lasts one hour followed by examinations in the boat licence exam room.

Fees for examination are

• Over 16 year (Motor boat operators licence) $41
• 12 to 15 years (Special permit to operate a motor boat) $15

Fees are payable at the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard stand, where a receipt will be issued. Intending participants will be required to provide suitable proof identity such as drivers licence or birth certificate prior to the exam.

Upon successful completion of the exam, a certificate will be issued which must be presented to service SA along with a licence fee of $38 to have the licence issued.

Persons between 12 and 15 years must submit to a further practical test in their boat prior to issue of the permit. This can be arrange with a Marine Safety Officer at any time after the written exam, but must be within 6 months.

Intending participants should note that there is no guarantee of passing the exam. The information sessions will provide helpful tips and refresh knowledge but are not intended as a crash course. Prior study may be undertaken on www.ondeck.sa.gov.au where a practice exam is available, and the SA Recreational Boating Safety Handbook can also be downloaded.

THE MEGATOURER IS COMING!

When you’re out in the wild, you’re bound to come across some interesting wildlife – and this year at the 4WD and Adventure Show, we’re bringing it all indoors!

Thanks to Wilbur’s Wildlife, Show visitors will get the chance to get up close and personal with a selection of Australian wildlife.

Lizards, snakes, birds, hopping mice, frogs, geckoes and insects will all be in display in a range of naturally landscaped tanks. Birds will be hanging out on their perches leaving no barriers between them and guests allowing for up close views.

Visitors can also learn about wild animals with the daily presentations on the Engel Bush Camp Stage at 12.30pm.
